1. Let \(A = {X:X^2-5X+6=0}, B = {2, 4}, C = {4, 5}\). Write A × (BꓵC).
2. If A = {1, 2, 3, 4, 5}, then write the number of proper subsets of A.
3. Find the value of x - y if x = {a, b, c, d} and y = {b, d, f. g}.
4. If A = {1, 2, 3}, B = {4, 5, 6} and verify A∪(BꓵC) = (A∪B)ꓵ( A∪C).
5. Let x and y be two sets. X = {x:x is a natural number and 1<x≤6}, y= {x:x is a natural number and 6<x<10}. Find the value of
(A) XꓵY
(B) X∪Y
6. If A = {1, 2} and B = {3, 4}, then how many subsets will A×B have?
7. There are 200 people with a skin disorder, 120 had been exposed to the chemical C1, 50 to chemical C2 and 30 to both the chemical C1 and C2. Find the number of people exposed to
(A) Chemical C2 but not chemical C1.
(B) Chemical C1 or chemical C2.
8. If \(A = \{(x, y): x^2+y^2 = 25 \) where \(x, y \in W\} \), write a set of all possible ordered pairs.
9. If x = {a, b, c, d, e} and y = {e, a, b, c, d}. Find x-y.
10. Find Sets A, B and C such that A∩B, B∩C and A∩C are non empty sets and A∩B∩C=∅.
11. Show that the following condition are equivalent -
(A) A⊂B (B) A-B= ∅ (C) A∩B (D) A∪B
12. In a group of 35 student, 17 like Mathematics, 10 like Mathematics but not Physics. Find the number of students who like both Mathematics and Physics both.
13. If 45% of the students of a class liked Mathematics and 85% of them Biology, find the percentage of students who liked Biology only.
14. In a survey of 650 people, it was found that 140 play cricket, 360 play tennis and 70 play both cricket as well as tennis. How many play neither cricket nor tennis?
15. In a group of students, 300 students know French, 100 know Spanish and 70 know both. Each student knows either French or Spanish. How many students are there in the group?
16. In a group of 800 people, 450 can speak Hindi and 320 can speak English. Find
